学修の目的と方法

授業の概要 This course will build upon the spring semester course, with a focus on the steps to writing a research paper. Students will learn the necessary skills to effectively communicate their ideas and thoughts in essays of a longer nature. Students will learn how to write a research paper from the beginning stages to the final product.Classes will involve lectures and discussions on the approaches used in academic writing. Students will develop their writing skills through class assignments and a term paper.
学修の目的 To develop skills for academic writing and to understand the academic writing process for research papers.
学修の到達目標 Students should gain a greater understanding of how to write a research paper, through each stage of the writing process.

13. Short lecture on plagiarism. How to cite and quote sources for your research paper.
14. Review on how to write references. Discussion on the rules for reference lists.
15. Evaluating and rewriting your paper. Peer review and feedback. Submit final draft of the research paper.
16. Individual counseling on research papers.
