授業の概要 | Language Skills Area : Primary - Speaking and Listening Secondary - Writing and Reading ONLINE ENGLISH learning has proven to be an effective alternative to face-to-face interaction. Its success depends largely on the dedicated cooperation between the instructor and students, and among the students themselves. Of course, in person language instruction is incomparable to other teaching platforms like online teaching. The former will always be the best method to teach a language. A classroom setting is always paramount. |

学修の目的 | However, in order to be able to continue with acquiring a steady and continuous English language acquisition in preparation for great opportunities awaiting you as a “global researcher,” we will need to undertake learning via said platform to ensure that we are all safe as we go about in obtaining the language. Therefore, if you are hungry to acquire the English language which is an integral part of your being a researcher, you need to take active part in every step of the way. Your zeal has to be evident every meeting. Your participation (speaking when asked for comments, opinion, asking questions, timely submission of project or projects, etc) and attendance are the keys to your achieving the goal and passing the subject. |
学修の到達目標 | The subject is taught in English only. Students are advised to build their own vocabulary that is every day, not only during their English class, and use them during the meeting. Our goal this semester is to help you with gaining confidence in English speaking by undertaking communicative language exercises, learning how to sound natural with the use of expressions, and testing your research presentation. Please note that all students who are serious with their desire to learn are welcome. |

成績評価方法と基準 | The instructor requires compliance with attendance, evaluation, and project. When you are being graded, your participation and performance is assessed . An absence of more than three meetings will fail you. Please be sure that any internship, meetings, or other events from your area will not be in conflict with our schedule as stated above. |

参考書 | On the critiquing project, you will choose four articles from the book authored by your Professor which was only recently published in the United States and has been catalogued in the Library of Congress and the six legal deposit libraries in the United Kingdom. You will write a one thousand-word essay on why you have chosen those articles and explain your analyses (singular, analysis.) on them. The title of the book is Emellie Meets Steeler. |
