授業の概要 | Students will learn basic principles and methods of making effective presentations in English. |

学修の目的 | The central aim of this course is to improve students’ presentation skills and to help students gain confidence in presenting in English through weekly mini presentations each focusing on a new skill learned in class in addition to building on previously learned skills. Students will also have the opportunity to present twice during the semester using the skills learned throughout the course. In addition, each class will contain a lecture dealing with various aspects of presentation skills such as ways to reduce stress, language issues, and script making. Class activities and materials will be oriented around pair and small group work. |
学修の到達目標 | Students will develop English presentation skills, including how to structure a presentation, design effective slides, and respond skillfully during Q&A, among other useful techniques. |
