実務経験のある教員 | Students will study and practice communicative English for use in international business. With a strong focus on listening、speaking、and writing. Speaking and listening skills will be taught via pair、work group based projects、and social media. The skills to be develped in this course are how to conduct oneself in small and large groups in a business setting. Students will be expected to complete written coursework and interact with fellow students in small and large group discussions and projects. Evaluating peers and giving feedback will be expected. |

学修の目的 | (1) Putting advanced English vocabulary, grammar and patterns to use in real-life situations, (2) Becoming introduced to business situations in the English speaking world, (3) Interacting in English, not merely passively listening, and (4) Doing all of these things in an "English-only" environment. |
学修の到達目標 | Students should gain greater confidence in speaking English, particularly in Business situations, and become familiar with some of the nuances that are particular to the business world. |

授業改善の工夫 | The majority of this class - and the scores achieved - comes from in class performance. This includes group work, discussions, projects, and homework. There is a short final exam that makes up less than 50% of the final grade. |

受講要件 | To register for this course, you are required to have scored 600 or higher on TOEIC. Students who have earned two credits in TOEIC preparation courses are also eligible to register. |
予め履修が望ましい科目 | Students who passed Mie University's TOEIC class, scored 600+ on TOEIC or have otherwise similarly high ability in English. Otherwise, there are no specific requirements. Students should know this class is *taught* 100% in English. Japanese will NOT be used in class, English will be used for communication in small groups or presentation work. All students should be prepared to work and think in English while in this class. |

First week; choose a company, write a slogan. Week 8 - Second week of ad campaign: design a print ad and choose the proper outlet Week 9 - Ad campaign week 3: Finalize print ad, peer review. Week 10 - Ad Campaign week 4 - Turn in print ad, intro and begin TV ad script. Week 11 - Ad Campaign week 5 - First draft of TV ad script, check for time, peer review.
