学習の目的と方法

授業の概要	This is a 15 week course for students interested in reading novels and discussing the deeper cultural, philosophical and political significance of the stories under exploration. Students will read, have class discussions, keep notebooks on their progress, take quizzes, write an essay and submit a portfolio for evaluation.
学習の目的	To read American and/or British novels to gain a greater insight in their respective cultures and more generally, to explore the complexities of humanist values.
学習の到達目標	To be able to apply the insights of this class to the larger cultural environment.
