学習の目的と方法

授業の概要	The course introduces the key concepts in film and media studies.
学習の目的	The purpose of this course is to provide a fundamental understanding of how film style and film form combine to create coherent audio/visual narratives.
学習の到達目標	Students will develop the skills necessary to analyze and think critically about film and other visual media.

学習内容	Topics to be covered include the elements of film style (mise-en-scene, editing, cinematography, and sound) and film form (narrative, stylistic structure, genre, and modes of production).
学習課題(予習・復習)	Students will be expected to do weekly reading assignments and watch assigned films on their own time. A final paper in which students analyze the form and style of a film will be due at the end of the semester.
