学習の目的と方法

授業の概要	This 15 week course will consist of reading Part II of the graphic novel: The Complete Maus by Art Spiegelman. The focus will be on reading, discussing, and empathizing with the characters and the effects of the Holocaust on their lives. Formal emphasis will be also given to visual representations within the graphic novel. Students will read, take part in class discussions, keep a notebook with their reflections, take periodic quizzes, write a final essay and submit a portfolio for evaluation.
学習の目的	To explore the ways in which the novel’s form and content work together to create empathy in the reader.
